Portland Bark, Mulch & Chips

The Finest Bark in Portland since 1919

Mt. Scott Fuel has been in business for over 100 years, we are family owned and operated. We still do business that way we were taught by our grandfather, give a good quality product for a fair price and remember that the customer is the one that keeps you in business so take good care of them.

Building and keeping a family business is very hard these days as large corporations can do things cheaper and faster but we try and do it the old fashion way with quality and customer service. Our business started selling firewood hence the name, it confuses some people as to what we do but staying true to the origins we have kept it even though we have evolved as a company.

Growing is important in business but keeping your customer’s needs met is most important. We strive to sell the best bark mulch, compost and soil mixes that we can produce, sand and gravel are quarried from local rivers and pits. All of our products are natural and organic, we use no dyes or chemicals to enhance looks or change appearances. We look forward to helping our customers beautify their yards and enhancing their gardens for years to come.
